Almost a year ago, I remodeled both of my bathrooms. Completely DIY. And all while my husband was on travel for work for 3 weeks. I would like to step through that process for you in a series of posts that details the steps and products I used so stay tuned as I get used to blog posting and figuring out how to get this content in front of you.

The main bathroom and the master bathroom were all in serious need of updating. I’m pretty sure they had not been touched since the house was built in 1968. Let’s start with the main bathroom.

Yep! No updates here!

Everything needed an update. The full list of ‘things to do’ in this bathroom were:
1) new flooring
2) new countertops
3) new backsplash
4) frame around large mirrors
5) new paint on walls and ceiling
6) reglaze the porcelain sinks
7) reglaze the shower tiles
8) new lighting
9) new drawer/door fronts on vanity
10) vanity painted
11) new drawer/door pulls
12) shelf for hamper
13) new faucets
14) new toilet
15) paint door

I had a very specific timeline (3 weeks) and a very specific order in which to accomplish tasks so one thing could be drying while I worked on another area of the bathroom. Everything was planned out and friends with specific skills were scheduled to come over on certain days at certain times to help me. Friends are great!

Final Bathroom!
